Islamic History and Arts

The Department of Islamic History and Arts conducts academic research on the history of Islam from social, cultural and institutional perspectives, and the art, literature and music conceptions and products that emerged in this process, and teaches associate and undergraduate courses in these fields. With these courses, it aims to provide students with a historical and chronological perspective as well as a taste for literature, art and music. Our department consists of the departments of History of Islam, History of Turkish-Islamic Arts, Turkish-Islamic Literature and Turkish Religious Music.
